I was in high school at a different time as Whitney, but we have some mutual friends, and the connection now just makes me think even more, "She has the best job ever."

Agreed on ET's music coverage, though it's still better than most mainstream music pubs. It's frustrating that more people can't write more sincere reviews on a wider variety of music. You see magazines like ET that give great movie reviews, but their music reviews are so often feel as though they're something they have to do rather than they want to do. Which is exactly why Pitchfork and the music blogs have become the place to find music, making entertainment pubs almost irrelevant for people trying to find new music.

Interesting tidbit on Whitney Pastorek! Did you know her? Tad was in the same class at Duke as Dave Karger, the EW Oscar guy. I tried to get him to introduce me at his college reunion, but he knew my pop culture nerdiness would take over and likely embarass everyone involved. EW's music writing/coverage has been piss poor for years, but I've seen some mild improvement recently. Anyway, I'll have to give this album a listen. I am really liking the new Animal Collective! Baby Howard likes it too.
